I keep thinking that I should actually be active on here if I want to use it as a platform, but I'm honestly struggling with what to post. I've been spoiled a bit I think by endless-sharing platforms (tumblr, but to a lesser extent facebook as well) because they let me stay "active" without...actually producing much.
(it also doesn't help that there seem to be very few active communities on here but that's a side note.)
Life-update-wise, I'm about to lose my computer for two weeks because the accidental damage I've been ignoring has built up to the point where I am concerned about the electronics failing and starting fires if I continue blithely using it with no regard for its intended level of functioning. (this is to say, the body of the laptop is now popping out and exposing the electronics whenever I close it. I've had one laptop progress to shooting sparks from this point, so I'm sending it in for repair.)I'm also coming to the end of my (last) summer off which is...really sad so I'm trying to ignore that it's happening and just enjoy my time with my family until I actually have to move back to the city I go to school in.
Fandom wise I'm actually becoming slightly un-blocked on some of the stories I'm trying to write, but am writing too many of them at once to really feel like I'm making progress. I suspect I need to find some people who 1. actually like any of my same fandoms/pairings, 2. aren't totally overwhelmed with RL stuff right now, and 3. I'm not too chicken to talk to. (That third one is...honestly the sticking point.)
Alternately, I could just start writing rambling character breakdowns and plotting out of context on here. That's a way to use a blog, right?
